Q: Why should I work with The Thompson Team?

Q: You mention home staging, cleaning, prepping… who
organizes these things?
A: We do. You don’t have to lift a finger when it comes to getting your home ready for sale. It’s part of the service we provide to you.
Q: How do you get paid?
A: When a home is sold in Toronto, the standard commission is 5% of the selling price, which is normally split evenly between the buyer’s agent and the seller’s agent. This commission is standard in the field, which means you pay the same for experienced, successful agents like us as you’d pay for a less experienced newbie (it’s like getting a Ferrari for the price of a Ford)! Plus, it’s even more financially advantageous to work with an experienced agent, because we can negotiate the best possible price for you on either side of the bargaining table.
Q: Are there any costs to me outside of your commission?
A: If you’re a buyer: nothing at all. Our services are fully covered by our commission, if and when you buy a home with us. If you end up choosing not to buy at all, that’s okay too; it’s the cost of doing business, and you have no obligation to buy anything just because we’re showing properties to you. The only thing you cannot do is work with another agent while you’re working with us (covered by the Buyer Representation Agreement - industry standard).
There are a few costs to you as a vendor: for instance, you will likely need to pay for a home inspection, and you will need your own real estate lawyer to deal with the closing documents. However, we have an excellent network of competitively-priced professionals in all of these areas who we can recommend to you, or you are more than welcome to bring in your own professionals.
